Save the Date: Feb 17th 2022 “Psychosocial Research & Endometriosis in South Africa”
The EndoSRN is pleased to announce Dr Rizwana Roomaney will join us for a virtual seminar on Feb 17th 2022 (1pm GMT/3pm SAST)
Dr Roomaney, a health psychologist at Stellenbosch University, will share and reflect on her ongoing research on endometriosis in South Africa. Her many publications in this area include:
- Fatigue-management strategies among women with endometriosis in South Africa: a qualitative study
- Salient aspects of quality of life among women diagnosed with endometriosis: A qualitative study
- The construction and validation of the Stellenbosch Endometriosis Quality of life measure (SEQOL)
- Coping strategies employed by women with endometriosis in a public health-care setting

Volunteers Needed
Sat Nov 13th (11am-4pm), Freedom4Girls’ Black Women’s Menstrual Health Project Team will be in Oxford promoting the project and encouraging members of the public to participate; mostly by completing our surveys, but also with learning about the project in general.
We are looking for volunteers to distribute flyers and chat with people about the project. If interested, email bwmh@freedom4girls, with subject ‘Volunteer in Oxford’ to find out more.
